INTERNSHIP AT THE HILTON GARDEN INN
Our student Anyeli Estrada Nava, as a part of Cornerstone Academic
College’s Internship Program, has been offered a placement in an unpaid internship at the Hilton Garden Inn. At the interview, the General Manager of the Hilton Garden Inn, Sally Ifi ll, was very impressed by Anyeli’s positive attitude, ambition, interest in the hotel business and past experience as an Event Coordinator for a Marriot Hotel in Mexico. So Sally offered Anyeli an internship position with the Hilton’s Sales & Marketing Office. This internship promises to be a valuable learning experience for Anyeli because she will be learning how to deal with prospective clients, generate new business, publicize the hotel, and ensure customer satisfaction with the hotel’s hospitality.
Anyeli will learn real-life sales and marketing strategies used within the hotel industry. The Sales & Marketing department is responsible for generating new business for the hotel and this is the driving force of the business. So Anyeli’s internship will enable her to gain skills and experience that will make her a valuable employee for any hotel. Also, after the internship is over, there is a possibility that Anyeli may be offered a full-time salaried position with the hotel.
