I began my teaching career shortly after graduating from the University of Toronto. It has allowed me to see interesting places, and also to meet incredible people from every corner of the world. I strongly believe in the practical application of the material taught in class. If we can't relate what we learn to the real world, what's the point of learning it at all? As an ESL teacher at Cornerstone, I am not only responsible for teaching my students English, but also to try and integrate and introduce them to Canadian and Torontonian culture as much as possible. After all, the city is the best place to practice what is learned in the classroom.
